Carers Allowances and pension contributions
I have a client who has been refused CA as his relevant income for CA was above the earnings limit. He has now arranged with his employer to pay more into the pension scheme. This increased pension payment means his earnings are now below the CA earnings limit. He has reclaimed and been awarded. Should I/he be concerned about notional income/deprivation?
