Advice Services Alliance, former members of the Black and Minority Ethnic Advice Network (BAN), London Legal Support Trust, with funding by Trust for London are running a short research investigation into the needs of smaller organisations in London providing advice and support to Londoners from diverse communities: https://asauk.org.uk/support-needs-of-bame-social-welfare-advice-providers-across-london/

This project, although short, can have a real impact on the future of the sector. If we can understand in more depth exactly what challenges smaller organisations that work with diverse communities are facing right now, we can work out how to best work together - as organisations, funders, networks, and statutory bodies - to help them continue to do so and thrive.

SURVEY: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/Q7DKGS8
To ensure this project is impactful, we ask you to complete our short online survey and share with your networks so we can hear from as many people as possible. We aim to hear from groups across London, working across a range of specialisms with a variety of clients. No organisation is too niche: if your organisation provides advice and other essential support to Londoners from diverse communities, please share your thoughts with us today.

We appreciate that your time is already stretched. For this reason, we’d like to offer survey participants the chance to enter our prize draw and win:
One of three AQS Support Packages for your organisation
Free access to workshops and training by the National Association of Welfare Rights Advisers (NAWRA)
£50 off a subscription to the Legal Action Group journal for three organisations

GROUP INTERVIEW: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/Z5RK9KR
We are also running a group interview next week on March 1st or 2nd with people working in smaller organisations across London. If there is a great deal of interest, we will consider running a second group interview on either day depending on participants’ schedules.

We aim to bring people together to discuss their support needs surrounding:

Managing Demand for Service Provision
Funding
Workforce Demand for Service Provision
Quality Accreditation and Management
Policy Changes and Your Work
Networking and Strategic Representation

To register your interest in participating in the group interview, please sign up here. We will be in touch shortly to confirm the details of the interview by February 26th.

The findings of this research will be published in Spring 2021. If you have any thoughts or questions about this project, please contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
