With staff and volunteers now based at home because of Covid 19 we are finding it difficult to manage the incoming post. As far as we can we communicate via email but this is not always possible. In particular the post regarding mandatory reconsiderations and appeals, because of the obvious deadlines. Has anyone managed to get their post from DWP via email?

I think that part of the problem is that large parts of the DWP IT system is not modern enough to be able send or receive emails. See https://www.rightsnet.org.uk/welfare-rights/caselaw/item/dwps-workaround-to-provide-email-communications-to-disabled-claimant-was-su

Or not modern enough to be able to link emails to the rest of the system properly
