Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knew of a telephone number I could call when you are experiencing technical difficulties before a telephone hearing so you can let them know before hand? (for Social security and child support appeals)

I could swear that there was a number included on this page:

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/what-to-expect-when-joining-a-telephone-or-video-hearing#additional-information

but I can’t seem to find it now I actually need it!

Thanks in advance.

I don’t think there is a special number for telephone hearings. There is a special number for CVP video hearings which probably won’t be able to help - 0300 303 0655

I’ve had one included on the letter with instructions, though turns out it is only the ‘general inquiries’ line for SSCS Scotland.

This came up at a recent tribunal users group.  At the bottom of the rather long notification of the hearing date there is a number to call when you have technical difficulties (just checked a letter I have for a hearing administered by Sutton and it is 0330 808 9405).  Just rang it and it comes up as ‘Audio and video appeal support line’.
