Apologies if this question has been asked already

Is the scheme discriminating against single-parents who are predominately female who are forced into two weeks without pay in order to care for their child who has been instructed by the school (no test and trace reference is provided to these children) to self-isolate.

If they are still receiving legacy benefits then tax credits will not be adjusted in the same way which UC would react to a loss of two weeks earnings.  The best they could hope for from local authorities is temporarily relief against their Council Tax liability.

Any thoughts?

Our government don’t seem to be as forward thinking.
