Claim closure due to NIL award

Hi guys, I can’t find any guidance or memos about relaxing the claim closure timing due to Covid. It has been relaxed to 5 or 6 APs of consecutive NIL award due to earned income, but I can’t find the source for it.
I think DWP is now going back to 1 AP but again- just rumours.
Any definitive info or source for the relaxation of rules?

Thanks!

Legislation is here.

Guidance is here.

I haven’t heard anything about this measure being reversed, although it was clearly put in place due to coronavirus (despite no sunset clause in the legislation). I vaguely remember seeing Neil Couling saying somewhere that they would consider keeping this in place long-term.

... they would consider keeping this in place long-term.

..which would take us back to what happened when UC was first being rolled out!

Thank you very much 😊

As for reversal of this measure: few of my friendly JCP staff members told me informally that they received internal memo. So no hard evidence.
