Identifying HMRC telephony agents

Ah that jazzy guitar riff, how I have missed it…

It’s been a rare day I’ve needed to call HMRC this last 8 years or so but I need to go in all guns blazing today.

If it were JCP I’d ask the agent’s name and location as a precursor to “if you don’t do what I tell you to I’m going to immadiately escalate it and try and get you a telling off”, PIP had their identifying codes as I recall.

If I want to identify an HMRC call handler how do I do so? Name and location? Is there a code?
