We have someone who is shielded due to COPD and is receiving SSP. In the meantime all her colleagues have been furloughed as the work she does (at an airport) is no longer there.  Can she ask to be furloughed instead as much more money? Does her employer have to agree?

Thanks

Yes to first one

No to second one as no automatic right to be furloughed
