Hi
I met a client who is now in receipt of her State Pension at a rate of £168.60 per week. with no other income.  Her ESA had stopped on 05.11.19 at the time of it stopping she was in in the Support Group along with a payment of EDP. She has no other Disability Benefits - although we are now making an application for AA.

Am I right that she will not be entitled to any Pension Credit until/if an AA award is made?

Thanks
VS

that is correct, will only qualify for PGC to top up her new state pension if she qualifies for the SDP following an award of AA

Should try to make a protective claim to PGC now in the event AA claim takes longer than 3 months to decide
