Victim of DV - wait a month to be paid as your ex got the whole of the last UC payment

Client has separated from violent partner.

DWP initially told her to make a new claim but it now appears that a single claim has been put in place without the need for a claim, with the same AP dates.

Problem is, the last AP has only just been paid, and it went in to the bank account of the ex-partner. UC say they cannot re-call this.

Claimant and children have no money until next payment date - some weeks away.

Refused an advance as she is already repaying one, and as a matter of fact she fits the criteria for neither ‘new claim’ nor ‘change of circumstances’ advances.

Any thoughts on how to help?

Budgeting advance or local welfare assistance scheme if you have one?
Social services?
