Supersession needed?

We have a client who has been in the WRA group for ESA for a period of time she can only recall as several years., she cannot remember form our conversations so far when she was awarded the benefit but is going to try to find out. Welfare rights are also dealing with a concurrent PIP appeal for her but upon discussing her ESA claim they have advised her that they feel she now meets the criteria to be placed in the support group as her condition appears to have deteriorated since the original decision to place her in the WRA group was made. Would I be correct in saying that she would need to do a super session based on the fact her circumstances have changed? As opposed to a revision as welfare rights have advised that the decision was correct at the time the benefit was awarded.

Yes you would.

In practice, ring JCP and tell them she’s deteriorated and they’ll issue a new ESA50. Usual warnings apply that you can never trust a WCA not to go wrong and end up with her being found capable of work.
