NAO publishes its 2019 overview of DWP
In final section on what to look out for, NAO highlights -
- Any significant increase in unemployment and the number of people applying for benefits could mean DWP needs more people, and money, to administer Universal Credit.
- DWP is on track to reduce the cost of delivering Universal Credit, but it still remains uncertain that it will be cheaper to administer than the systems it replaces.
