Cl. had their ESA stopped after failing to attend a face to face assessment (DWP did not accept ‘good cause’). As the ESA had stopped the loan for Mortgage Interest payments stopped as well.

Cl appealed ‘good cause’ decision and won so we expect ESA in the SG to be reinstated from the date it was stopped (and arrears paid) pending another WCA.

I assume that the Mortgage Interest payments can,at the very least, be re-started but could they also be back dated?

I can’t see much about this in CPAG , has anyone had any experience of this?
