Migration Advisory Committee consults on immigration salary thresholds and points based system

The Migration Advisory Committee has been commissioned by the government to carry out an in depth analysis of potential future salary thresholds and has also been asked to look into an ‘Australian-style’ points-based system and how this might work in the UK.

The Committee says that the call for evidence, which concludes 9am on 5 November 2019 -

‘... seeks views and evidence from anyone with relevant knowledge, expertise or experience to help inform the MAC response. We strongly welcome views from a wide range of interested parties from all parts of the UK including:businesses, employers, recruiters, trade unions, academics, think tanks, representative bodies, government departments, etc.
