Specified accommodation, category 1 and category 2

Am I right in saying that the only requirement for Category 1 (Specified Exempt Accommodation) is as Exempt Accommodation always was - the landlord needs to be a Housing Association, charity etc and needs to provide more than minimal care, support and supervision.  For Category 2, the tenant needs to have been admitted to that property because of support needs and those care, support and supervision needs are more than minimal, but are not provided by the landlord.  Ruth

Yes, that’s pretty much it: in both cases you need a non-profit body as the landlord, but for exempt the landlord itself must provide at least some support whereas for category 2 it doesn’t matter who provides the support.
