was posting to double check rules on mixed age couples and the SDP -
Had a couple who have been told by the LA to claim UC.

wanted to double check if the client should still claim HB or UC in light of the new UC Managed Migration regulations (2019/1152) or if they still had protection under the SDP gateway

I think the SDP gateway is still in operation until January 2021 so i think they should stay on HB with SDP.

the abolition, from 27 January 2021, of the SDP gateway that prevents claimants entitled to the SDP from making a claim to universal credit if they have a relevant change of circumstances
