See what you’re capable of assessment

Hi,

We have had a client approach us, as during her F2F PIP assessment she tells us that she was offered the chance to attend a ‘see what you’re capable of assessment’.

Our client was told that this was not mandatory but that it could help her claim, the client declined. Client is now worried that this will, in someway, be used against her.

Does anyone know what a ‘see what you’re capable of assessment’ is? And will her not attending have any likely affect on her claim?

Thanks in advance.

Michael

Was this described as an entirely separate assessment?
My first thought was perhaps it was an attempt to describe the physical functional part of the assessment?

Are they on UC and they are referring to the health and work conversation? Other than that can’t really think what this could be.

Hi,

Both, I am glad it is not only me who has never heard of this

And, no, she is not on UC, she works and has long term health conditions

If I get any more information I will let you know

In the meantime, thanks again both

Cheers

Yes, thanks for this, I was trying to remember whether it might be this but couldn’t remember what the thing was called. Not sure what happened with this policy as it’s gone very quiet since 2017, when it was subject of much discussion about a pilot
