I’ve had yet another issue concerning a client who has a corporate appointee and full Deputyship has been applied for due to safeguarding concerns. The client was able to ring the UC helpline and arrange an appointment at the local JC which would have been completely inappropriate. The corporate appointee has arranged with the jobcentre for a note to be pinned to his journal highlighting that he has the appointee (which we were told would be done for all deputyship clients without needing to ask..) but I don’t know if this would be visible to the helpline operators.

Anyone know? If not I’ll pursue it with UC. This is another example of UC and JC apparently failing to operate any safeguarding practices at all.
