False information inputted into claimants UC Journals
I have now seen quite a few instances of clients who are told that their claims will be closed, when they are trying to submit a new claim, whilst their previous UC claim is under MR or appeal. Worryingly however, I have seen 3 cases where UC staff inputs the following in the UC Journal: “You asked us to withdraw your claim”.
All those clients insist that far from asking for the claim to be withdrawn, they have attempted to show the Jobcentre staff evidence of change of circumstances for purposes of new claim. In 2 cases this evidence was an award of settled status.
