Hi,
I’ve received tis request from Laura Cockram Head of Policy and Campaigning, Parkinson’s UK.
Would anyone be able to help? -
“You may have seen following the National Audit Office report on prescription penalty charges the Public Accounts Committee have launched an inquiry. It closes next Tuesday and we’ve been invited to give evidence the following week.
I wondered if any of your clients had reported issues with penalty charges and if you’d be able to share their experience with me please?
Ideally it would be great to get a summary of their experience that includes:
• what their condition is, whether they were told by any health professional about penalties for falsely claiming a free prescriptions or pre-payment certificates?
• why they received the penalty charge notice and how they felt?
• what action they took when they received the penalty charge notice?
• what the outcome of their action was and how they felt?
• what they think could be done to make getting their prescriptions easier?
If you could send anything across to be me by close of play next Wednesday that would be great.
Thanks so much
Laura
