DWP Decision Letters for LCWRA

Not sure if it is just us, but we are noticing that Clients seem to receive a letter (or have it placed on their journal) without any points. Some have received a full ‘medical’ report in addition to the decision letter, but still without any points applied to the criteria.
This makes it more difficult to discuss with the Client the areas that they might focus upon when preparing an MR request.
Anyone else finding this?

Yes, clients are pretty much randomly getting either a fully reasoned decision notice or a summary which simply gives the outcome and dispute rights. This is across various areas, not just WCA.

It’s possible to ask for a statement of reasons, although I do not think it is an especially useful exercise in this sort of case.

Our people have had a medical statement of reasons, but it in most cases hardly helps them to understand why they did not get considered to be “off sick”. The medical explanation is frequently very wordy and still does not indicate points, even when some were awarded.
