Hi -

Just to let you know that we’ve been working on updates to advicelocal to take account of the structural changes being made this week to local government in England ..... impacting, for example, on who is responsible for housing benefit, social care etc ...

- Dorset: five districts (Weymouth and Portland, West Dorset, North Dorset, Purbeck and East Dorset) have merged into a new Dorset unitary authority; and three districts into a Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole unitary authority.

- Suffolk: two districts (Forest Heath and St Edmundsbury) have merged into West Suffolk and two districts (Suffolk Coastal and Waveney) into East Suffolk.

- Somerset: two districts (Taunton Deane and West Somerset) have merged into Somerset West and Taunton.

Enjoy ..... https://advicelocal.uk

Cheers - Shawn
