At DWP partnership meeting today during item on the UC SDP Gateway regs representative from LA’s (HB authorities) stated they were at a LA/DWP meeting last week in which DWP stated that they have already identified 10K claimants who have lost SDP following natural migration and are already paying them a transitional payment (compensation?) of on average £6K.

LA insistent this was re UC & loss of SDP and not the ESA exercise or the 10K claimants will be in the managed migration preliminary roll out.

Doesn’t sound right to me - the regs are still only in draft format…

Exactly! But it did come from as they say ‘a reliable source’ who would be unlikely to confuse this with other issues.

The weak link is probably the reliable source’s source - ultimately you are relying on info that originated within the UC service
