Amber Rudd has provided an update on availability of the Youth Obligation, easements from mandation, and issues around migration to universal credit in a letter responding to Work and Pensions Committee questions ahead of the Committee’s ‘reform update’ session today.

Amber Rudd’s letter to the Committee written prior to last week’s Youth Obligation evidence session, published today, sets out how the lack of any data collection on the Youth Obligation is being addressed by work coaches having to manually collate statistics including on claimant characteristics and outcomes pending any ‘UC build to automate this data collection’.
