I have 2 cases where the client was on ESA in the WRAG and had a spell working. They both became sick again within 12 weeks, but were then forced to claim UC due to being full service. Both are being paid standard allowance only, pending a new WCA. My first thought was that the linking rule should allow an LCW element to be paid, but I’m now not seeing any mechanism for this. Am I missing something?

No. The linking rules demand ESA was in payment on the day the UC claim was made; only if the WRAC was being paid can the LCWE be paid on the UC claim.
