The SOS has recently claimed on Twitter that there is no requirement for ID within UC.

Adopting a broad definition of what ID might be; bank account details, maybe sufficient for Verify??? Might this be true?

I’m guessing that she is referring to the online related checks that they suggest are an alternative to face-to-face appointments so more accurately she could have stated there is no need to produce ID. There is still an ID check and my understanding is that your claim cannot proceed without this. Or am I wrong, as I’m sure the SoS knows how UC works and the intricacies of claiming.
