Christmas bonus and new-style ESA

Simple question but one I’m having trouble with.

Do you still get a Christmas bonus paid with new-style ESA?

C&B Act sec.149 has qualifying benefit being ESA if paid “under Part 1 of the Welfare Reform Act 2007” i.e. old style contributory ESA.

Any ideas folks?

New style ESA is still ESA under the 2007 Act - it’s just under the 2013 Regs rather than the 2008 Regs. Right?

Aha, I think you might be right there Elliot, I’d been working on the assumption that WRA2012 might apply but now I’ve checked, all that did was amend WRA2007 as you note.

Nice one, thanks.
