Report in Government Computing on Etive project with Tower Hamlets and Hackney looking at using local authority data to help ‘thin-file customers’ - defined as vulnerable people who need greatest support in registering GOV.UK Verify identity - which found that -
’... local authorities collect and manage data that would have high value in the GOV.UK Verify identity proofing and verification process. This would help vulnerable people who are trying to access Universal Credit more quickly, for example, as well as other high value services such as housing.’
