Story in Third Sector that chief executive of New Philanthropy Capital told a Commons select committee that the voluntary sector must improve to attract more wealthy donors

The British fundraising sector is “not very good”, according to Martin Brookes, the chief executive. Brookes was giving evidence to a hearing of the Public Administration Select Committee, which is looking at donations by the banking and hedge fund industry as part of its inquiry into voluntary sector funding.

This evidence session took place yesterday, so a full transcipt should be available in due course.
