Claiming UC due to change of circs from ESA & a work trial

Hi everyone

I’ve checked CPAG and DRUK handbook and it appears if I’ve read CPAG correctly that if you claim UC (not natural migration) that you will receive the LCWRA if you were receiving this under ESA.

A caller has asked if her daughter’s UC will include from the date of claim the LCWRA element as she is having to stop her ESA as has found work of 20 hrs.

My second question - work trials.  As this client tries a job and then leaves it due to her disability within hours or days, does a work trial still exist for 30 calendar days under ESA?  If so, does the work need to be less than 16 hours?
