Hi

We have a client who is self employed, and is in receipt of CTC/WTC - she is currently unable to work, likely to be for around 4 - 5 months so less than 28 weeks, so we understand she can still be ‘considered’ as in full time work for her WTC (and importantly for her CTC as she gets based on worker status)

However, can you she claim any other benefits for her temporary sickness, as she can’t get SSP? We note that she is already in receipt of CB and HB (income too high for CTR)

Any thoughts most welcome

Cheers

Are you full service? In which case new-style ESA? Or, if not full service, old style contributory ESA? Provided she has been paying her class 2 NI conts for a sufficient length of time…
