Work and Health Programme statistics consultation, deadline 17/9/18
Hi all
I just wanted to give this a bump: https://www.rightsnet.org.uk/welfare-rights/news/item/dwp-launches-consultation-on-the-content-of-work-and-health-programme-stati
Greenwich WRS have submitted a response to the consultation arguing that DWP need to start monitoring and reporting on vulnerability and the use of protections for vulnerable claimants. I’d encourage others who support these points to make similar submissions.
You can find out submission here: https://www.rightsnet.org.uk/forums/viewthread/9149/P15/#61538
Consultation response:
Updated strategy:
https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/work-and-health-programme-statistics-release-strategy/work-and-health-programme-statistics-release-strategy
The recommendations by GWRS (which I link to above) were that DWP provide statistics on:
- The number of WHP participants recorded as having complex needs
- The number of WHP complex needs participants recorded as having adjustments applied to their conditionality
- The number of complex needs participants who are referred for a compliance doubt
- The number of compliance doubt referral for complex needs participants resulting in a sanction being applied (both before and after appeal)
It appears that none of this will form part of the WHP stats release strategy.
