Change of Address within same LA triggering UC claim.
Has anyone come across LA’s insisting that any change of address, including within same LA area, triggers closure of HB/CTS claims, thus triggering UC? It seems to be happening in some cases in Manchester. I wonder whether it’s a case of over-zealous officials misunderstanding the rules, or, as a colleague was told, the LA have been instructed by DWP to take this (apparently unlawful) approach.
