Anytime revision and new claim

I’ve got an ongoing complaint with Pension Credit regarding their interpretation of capital regs with regards to PI awards. The claim was refused in 2014. They have now offered an anytime revision of the decision but have told me that this could take several months. Is it worth making a new claim in the meantime? I assume this will not affect the revision in any way and if successful, the claim would be paid from 2014 up until the new claim.
