New style ESA
Can anyone explain the difference between ” new style ESA” and contribution based ESA please? I have looked on the DWP websites & still do not really understand this.
They’re the same pretty much but it’s new-style ESA that you claim in a full service UC area (where you cannot claim income-related ESA) and it’s contributory ESA you claim in a non full service area where you can claim ESA and it could be income-related/contributory or a mixture of both.
