Impact of right to rent legislation on Childrens Act duties to accommodate
New High Court judgment holds that a local authority acted unlawfully by failing to take account of right to rent restrictions when it refused section 17 support for a family without leave to remain in UK on the grounds that the family had sufficient funds to rent privately.
