Mandatory Reconsiderations for Closed Claims

For the past week me and my colleagues have been running into problems trying to lodge MRs for right to reside cases as the claim is then closed, stopping any posts to the journal.

Whenever I have posted them to the full service UC address, they have always disappeared into what I assume is a black hole.

I know you can still lodge a MR via phone however I don’t feel comfortable doing this as I want to be able to put my case forward in writing.

We’ve tried sending claimants to the JCP with pre-written statements however some have been turned away, whilst others have spent hours attempting to lodge the MR and then come back to find that no attempt has been officially recorded..

Has anyone else run into these problems? Does anyone have any ideas on how to combat this?

Thanks in advance.

the client can’t access closed claims but the call centre staff can. We have filed MRs on closed claims.
