Can somebody confirm the fact that if an A8 national commenced employment on 31/10/08 (which is shown on her WRS documents) and finishes on 24/10/08, because she is short of 7 days she doesn’t satisfy the 12 months requirement to register 52 continuous weeks?

Many thanks.

The requirement to register under the scheme ends when a worker has been legally working in the UK for 12 months without an interruption of over 30 days, so can’t see any problem with 7 days.

See Reg 8 in Part 1 here-:  http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2004/1219/pdfs/uksi_20041219_en.pdf
