I’ve a client whose partner has gone back to live with his parents. She informed tax credits and is now on a single claim. Their relationship is still boyfriend and girlfriend and they have a child together but not joint finances and they are no longer living together. Should he go in the partner section of ESA1 form?

I don’t think so - you have to be living in the same household to be a couple - see CPAG pg 225
