non dep deductions as a student

can somebody please clarify if the standard rate of non dep deduction applies to full time students living at home, who otherwise would be exempt under usual HB rules.

Looking at para 16 of UC Schedule 4 I cannot see any exemption for full time students per se, but most of them will be covered by the exemption for under 21 year olds for the majority of their course

how about when they’re over 21? will the minimum deduction apply?

Yes - unless one of the other exemptions applies
