No recourse to public funds

Hi,

We have a tenant who is a digital UC claimant, currently on maternity leave. She is a Polish National and she has a partner who is claiming asylum in the UK. No decision made yet on his application. They want to move in together so obviously we will need to report the change to UC.

Am I right in thinking that in doing this, the effect should be the same as it would have been under the legacy system, in that he would be added to the claim but no monies will be paid for him?
