how to provide evidence to UC as part of Request for MR

My client wants to provide medical evidence to UC as part of a Request for MR.
However, there is no address or email to address to send this to, and a limit of 4,000 characters, she says, that she can paste into her Journal.
How do we get this evidence to the Decision Maker?
And, related, we just get a decision e.g no LCW, but no reasoning at all and no point score - how to get this?
Any assistance very welcome!

One option is to post the request and any evidence to the DWP. I believe that it is also possible to request permission to upload documents to your journal or alternatively to book an appointment at the Job Centre to drop it in. Personally, I still insist on posting things.

The decision letter will explain that you have a right to request written reasons for the decision. You also have a right to request a copy of the assessment report. It is a tactical decision whether these documents are likely to provide you with the sort of profound insight which will justify delaying matters for a month or so whilst they are produced.

Sorry to be thick, but what address should the evidence be sent to?

You are not being thick, it is quite hard to find. See https://www.rightsnet.org.uk/forums/viewthread/14316/#67240 for the one I use.
Whether anyone will ever reply is a different matter.
There are various other Wolverhampton addresses on Google, who knows if they work or not.

I believe this address is used but have never used it myself.
FREEPOST DWP
Universal Credit

We use this one but not sure if it’s specific to us in Scotland

I’ve always used the FREEPOST DWP, Universal Credit address and have never had any problems with this.

While there is a limit of 4000 characters for a journal note, there is nothing to stop the claimant posting the MR over several journal notes.

is this address still reliable? am about to put a big MR in the post - but i don’t think you can do a recorded delivery to this address? are there alternatives for recorded post that are just better?

thanks

I’ve been using the
UNIVERSAL CREDIT
Post Handling Site B
WOLVERHAMPTON
WV99 1AJ

for recorded deliveries. Last I sent I got the confirmation of delivery from Royal Mail on 20/06 and DWP acknowledged the response by text to the client nearly a month later. I’m guessing the delay is just usual tardiness from DWP, though could have been delays from DWP punting it around to eventually the right office.

I note that the postcode differs for virtually the same address. For PIP 5 (5 denoting Scotland dept), the address is:
Personal Independence Payment 5

Wolverhampton

We have had a number of issues with the Freepost address this year so I have reverted to

UCFS Post
Canterbury BC
Nutwood House
Canterbury
Kent
CT1 1ZZ

Got an MR in at present so we shall see.

However, it is also possible to simply request that the document upload button is enabled for the UC journal rather than faff pasting stuff in. Like others though my preference is for good old fashioned post to an actual address.
