voluntary ending claim
I was recently asked a question about how UC claimant could end their claim, I reckon Supersession. but I have never had to deal with this, I presume the issue has arisen before and if anyone can point me in the right direction I would be grateful.
Yes it has long been held that a claimant can relinquish their entitlement to a benefit. This is formally a request for supersession. Entitlement should be ended unless there is some reason to think it is not a proper request. There is a useful discussion at ADM A4120 on.

There is now a Claim Closure To Do on the Build so its easy for Case Managers or Work Coaches to close a claim instantly.
In the past not so and I can remember UC Contact Centres refusing to close UC Live claims if the claimant said they were returning to Legacy.
