good afternoon
I have a client who has come to me . her child was 5 on 21/07/2021. She was advised to get a backdated med cert to this day saying she is unfit for work due to complications in her pregnancy.  she is only 20 weeks pregnant.

DWP advised her she must claim UC as no longer entitled to IS, any ways round this ?l

Yes you can hop around between different heads of IS entitlement. Your client can challenge the decision to end IS by MR. They need to decide whether this is preferable or whether it would be better to claim UC which you wouldn’t really expect to be problematic.
