Is here any time limit for the backdating of the SDP , sorry ‘Amount for Severe Disability’, in PC. My client was paid AA from November last year and a PC10 issued and returned but the SDP was only backdated for six weeks. She was on PC from well before November.

I can’t see anything that limits back payments in Sch 1 of the PC regs and I have had several examples of IS claimants being backpaid large sums in SDP as soon as the IS 10 was sent in - has there been a change in the law?

No, should be backdated.  Sometimes part arrears paid by system, rest off system, due to limitation of DWP computers in paying arrears, so it may be down to that.
