Carers Addition in Pension Credit after death

I have a lady who gets £37.50 in her pension credit for being a carer despite her husband dying years ago. Were there old rules that meant this could continue beyond the usual 8 weeks? Cheers

Yes there were.  If you were 65 or over on 27/10/02 and were getting ICA (as it then was) then you can carry on getting it indefinitely after the cared for person died.
