Is it just me, or is DWP Post Handling getting even worse? (Hard to imagine, but read on…....).

Man Recon requests submitted early December not processed at end of January. Excuse is delay between receipt at Wolverhampton and passing on to processing centres.

Is there an effective means of redress for hardship caused by unacceptable DWP delays?

For ESA/UC at least if it is appropriate for your client group I advise mine to take their correspondence down to the Jobcentre and ask them to send it via email direct to the correct team. Our local JCPs will normally do this without an appointment within reason. I don’t think they have a similar link to PIP unfortunately.

In this instance, unfortunately, it’s PIP that is the problem. Having swamped us with reviews over December and January, it now seems they can’t handle the responses.

The entire (non) functioning of the DWP is beyond a joke. “Not fit for purpose” seems to be the understatement of the year.
