Mixed age couples and new claim to HB

Hi all

MAC , not currently in receipt of PC or HB, moving into   supported (exempt) accommodation ( Mr is SPA and   has disabilities, Mrs is < SPA and is his carer)

Am I correct in thinking that when Mr applies for HB this wil lbe assessed using the HB SPA regs?

That is correct. But it still will not allow them to claim PC. And it would make no difference which of them actually applies.

Pension age HB unless younger partner claims IS, JSA or ESA I think.
