It depends what you mean by “centralisation” but the Tribunals Service as an executive agency of what is now the Ministry of Justice came into being in April 2006. It took over all the biggest tribunal systems at that point though some smaller tribunals joined later.

Thanks everyone for your replies. What I meant by “centralisation” was the point when routine enquiries were dealt with centrally rather than by the local Tribunal venue.
