Hi all

First time I’ve seen arrears from a UC appeal. Apparently the Case Manager has offered the entire arrears to HMRC for a TC overpayment despite the overpayment only being about a quarter of the amount. It’s down to HMRC to issue the remaining arrears so we are told.

Has anyone any idea how long this process might take? Also any resources about explaining the process?

Thanks

It took 4 months for our first arrears from a lapsed UC appeal to be paid in a simple straightforward scenario.

See link to a resource you’ve probably checked out already with a link to UC end of things - https://revenuebenefits.org.uk/tax-credits/guidance/how-to-deal-with-hmrc/dealing-with-debt/#DWP%20and%20tax%20credits%20debt
